This trick isn't a return from catch, but rather a trick performed in the arms of the catcher. It's one of several tricks performed on a swinging cradle (a discipline in its own right) that can be performed on a flying trapeze with a catcher.

The flyer gets into a Whip position in the arms of the catcher in the apron end. As they swing back to the catch point they open out their Whip position, let go of the catcher and twist their arms so they can regrip and hang normally as if after a Wrists Catch. They can they make a return as usual.
