Description

This is a variation of the Mixed Grip that is suitable for beginners because the body will start to turn automatically once the flyer leaves the platform. The arms are crossed and the hand that passed underneath is reversed. To turn to the left, the left hand is placed in the middle of the bar and the right hand crossed underneath and holds the bar, reversed, on the left of the left hand (first photo). The second photo shows the opposite arrangement where the flyer will turn to the right.

This grip is typically used by beginners to achieve basic tricks that include a half turn, for example: Single Reverse Knee Hang.

Note that the image shows the flyer with their thumbs under the bar (around). This is the most common way, however some schools prefer the thumbs to be over the bar.
